This is my first post here. Y'all seem to be a knowledgable bunch so hopefully you can help out a skier in need.
My friend 'skinerd' and i ski at the same mountain and suffer from the same alignment issues. He already created a thread on the topic and was now searching for an alignment specialist with a good reputation in Whistler or the general area.
So...Can anybody suggest to me an alignment specialists and provide a name and/or contact details.
Also, here is a quick lowdown of the alignment issue i have, as i see it. Any suggestions on treatment that could work would be great;
Naturally i have more outward splay on my right foot than my left foot. This means that when i put my feet parallel in my skiing stance i have to drop the right knee in towards my left knee to bring it straight with the left foot. This causes an A-frame in my stance. So, to cure that i have to tilt my right foot onto an angle whereby i am balancing on the outside of that foot. Not only is this un comfortable, it puts strain on my foot and knee that i don't think is healthy. It also effects the edge angle of the skis, with the right ski now sitting at an angle on its outside edge when the left ski is flat. Obviously this has knock on effects to the way in which the skis run.
