Nordica NR981 replacement

Its getting close to boot replacement time.  I have been skiing these boots the last 6 years and have had them since 1990.

My question if anyone could help me would be the flex in the NR981?

They are broken in so I find it hard to believe they have the same flex now but I need a starting point to start considering new boots.

thanks.

100ish

boot flex is not a measureable thing, more a marketing number.  It is different brand to brand, model to model, and different people can flex some boots better then others (ankle vs boot hinge point)

overall, in general, 150 is stiff,   60 is soft, but 100 is not always the same

the fit of the boot is WAY more important then the flex number

I love the boot but I know I have to start looking for something new.  I may get one more season out of them if I'm lucky.

I was thing of the speedmachine 12 or 10 but like you said its the fit.  I appreciate the answer and I plan on spending some time trying on some of the new boots out on the market.
