...I'll quizz the gadget freaks:

Who has skied the 10ex. I've seen several pairs of demos for sale and am thinking of trading in my Snow Rangers (200) for 191 Atomics. Any difference in next year's 10ex?

Mil gracias....#####

I had next years 10ex's for about the last six weeks , awsome in everything except the bumps. They are a little softer than last years from what I can tell , also don't be scared to drop to the 184cm. You might want to hold off till fall though cause rumor has it Atomics got a series of skis that are based on the 10ex coming out in other flex patterns. Personally I think next years is one wild ski , sticks to ice like shit to a blanket and a blast in crud, slush or powder.

10 ex is fantastic ski. I have this years so pretty stiff esp in tail. If you search here & @ powdermag you will see a lot of references & raves on them. not a true fat, floaty ski. actually skis like the snow ranger but w/ more sidecut so great on groomed for a crud basher. it is not as bomber as the snowranger. I have already compressed an edge & know others who have torn edges out. if you can get a deal grab em, you wont be disapointed. I am 215 6' & the 191 is more than enough ski.

I must agree with what others have said. I skied the 2000 184-cm length, and was pleasantly surprised at how diversified it was. It ripped on the groomed and was fun in the softer stuff. The 184 didn't feel short. I'm 175 lbs, and 5'8", so I can get away with skiing shorter. My buddy rides the 191 and loves it. However, after skiing a few days in the trees in UT, he admits that the 184 might have been the better purchase. He is just a tad bigger than me.

I will also put in a good word for the 10ex. I don't actually have a pair, but my buddy does and I have used them quite a bit. The only thing that I can say though, is why would you want to ski it in a short length? I was riding the 198 and it was super easy to ski. They have so much sidecut that all you have to do is think about turning and it happens.......
