I definitely have to agree with the WOO HOO HOO in that video!
We use snowmobiles to get from the road closure to where we start skinning uphill, if we want to ski at the head of the canyon. Depending on the snow year, there's a fair bit of terrain accessible without a sled, too - the picture of the snowboarder with the valley view below was taken from one of those runs. There are a couple of folks here and a few down in Ely who do full-on sled-skiing, but I'm not a good enough snowmobiler to do that and not spend the whole day digging out a stuck sled. And, besides, about half of my days skiing here locally I'm up by myself, so sled-skiing isn't really an option. I'm happy to earn my turns the old fashioned way - a lot more fun than the gym, that's for sure.
I didn't get to ski with the heliski this year - I was injured when my chance came up so couldn't go. BIG bummer. Next year, though, I generally get up with them once a season, anyway.
