I purchased a used pair of demo Fischer AMC 79 skis. The bases are perfect but the top sheets have lots of scuffing & scratches. They have a very unique texture, kind of like corduroy and its got a bit of a hologram effect. Has anyone had any success sprucing up theses skis? I have made used skis look like new for my kids in the past by sanding and spraying clearcoat enamel and had very good luck. That won't work on the texture of these skis however...

Not much you can do -- just hope it doesn't delaminate. Fischers with those topsheets were famous for having the topsheet peel off eventually (which would solve your problem I guess) . I do think they fixed the issue in the later model years. It's fairly durable otherwise.
