Barking Bear v. Powder Boards

Thread Starter
hey y'all

I just got done reading the "pissing contest" that occurred between the boys of Epic Ski and Powder.

Why is one better or worse?

I guess it's me... but I see the two boards as being TOTALLY different. Epic Ski is populated by a largely "professional" skier population. Moreover, it's just skiers. The Ski Training Forums are a place for people to discuss the DRY topics of technique and instruction.

Powder Magazine is a hip, testosterone-y magazine with very COOL pictures and articles. Keeping with that, folks who post on the Powder board are discussing and sharing their adventures in skiing.

Both has it's place and purpose.

Now.... DON'T BE HATIN', DAWG!

I've stuck my nose in Powder a few times, but it seemed boring. A lot of "text speak", grunting and stuttering, and woo-hooing. I guess since the argument happened over there, it was started by the mentality that goes "I don't think about it, I just do it, therefore people who think about it and discuss it are idiots".

Good Point!

They are both good boards with slightly different objectives. At different times, one or the other shines brightest; but to say one has an edge on the other would be a hard statement to prove.
