The last piece in ahieving comfort in Dobermans has finally fallen into place. After punching out the toe box and ankle cups I was close. The last issue was that tendon that runs down the front of your ankle. flex forward and the tongue pinched it and caused serious pain. Mounted scraps of 3/8" rubber from an old wet suit to the inside of the tongue above (crucial) the pressure point. (boot is known for a sketchy tongue) Now the forward pressure is carried by the lower shin instead of the tendon. Yesterday had my second comfortable day of 50 in the boots. OMG, freedom, comfort, and performance!
