Thoughts about the snow conditions last week of March in Park City and Deer Valley?

I am thinking of a trip to Park City/Deer Valley beginning March 26 for a week to take advantage of the lower room rates but I see that its going to be warm this week.  Does anyone have advice/thoughts about what the snow conditions might be in ten days or so, i.e. would it be better for us to go skiing somewhere else or do I not need to be concerned as there is already so much snow?  We wanted to stay at one of the nicer lodges at Silver lake in Deer Valley (ski-in/ski-out) but all want prepayment of the full amount so I don't want to make a mistake nor do I want to pay for ski-in and ski-out and then find out that we need to walk.

it is extremely unlikely that there will be any snow left in utah in ten days... the season is almost over.

Doesn't anyone find it pretty damn funny how there's been a million questions about Park City resorts and a much smaller amount of questions about the Cottonwood Canyons (which everyone is recommending to go to)?

 

Go to Snowbird. Forget about Park City. It'll be the best skiing in late March yall ever get. (if the conditions are good, which they don't sound like they are says jahroy)

i was kidding.... we're kinda in the height of winter right now out west.  i've never been to the bird or park city, but i'm sure they'll both be open with plenty of snow for weeks and weeks.  the bird was running multiple chairs DEEP into june last season.

I was at Deer Valley two weeks ago. It was in the mid 40's and absolutlely wonderful. Great soft snow but not the mush one would expect here in the East at such temps. It has snowed since I was there. If it has been coolish as well, I think you will be fine. As an aside, the one day out of five we skied Canyons was the worst of it. Hardpack for certain. DV really knows how to make the best of what they have. Have an amazing time.Check out the Daly Bowls and chutes if that is at your skill level. I had big fun on those.

It takes more than a couple days of 40s/50s to melt 100" of base ;). Looks like we're gonna get nailed this weekend (praying). Though how much of that's rain at the lower elevation areas around Park City as opposed to higher elevation cottonwood canyon areas is hard to say. I'm looking for some great powder days Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday!

We got 10 guys going next week.  We are usually February travellers to Park City.  Last year it was the 2nd week of March we went and we had some good pow fall the last day, warm the previous 2 days and getting a little soft lower on the mountains, but overall good skiing.  No lift lines were great.

 

Looking at the weather, it isn't looking great..maybe t-shirt and short days...hope not..but it is looking thay way from the forecast.

 

Not going again to Park City in March.  Really should get over to places like Cotton wood that late in the season as others suggested, but I am at the mercy of convincing 9 other people to do it also since we share rental vehicles.

I am heading out there end of next week with my daughter. Right now it is melting fast but it should get colder starting Sunday and hopefully snow starting Monday.

I live in PC and this entire week has been 50+ degrees.  My front yard is bare and I'm at 6800'.  I would recommend the Cottonwoods.  Snowstorm forecasted for Monday though...
