but its should make your abs work
this is kinda of ramble but hopefully somebody will come and explain it better.
I see over and over again how people get tired skiing moguls. This simply should not be the case if everything is happening right.
ok first a little at home drill
1st stand up and do some squats
next sit on a counter and pull you legs up from the ground knees to chin
I bet the first one will make your legs burns if you do it enough
I bet the second one makes your abs work
the question remains which one more closely resemble the mogul skiing(or steep/tree) you SHOULD be doing? the answer is number 2 and let me explain.
the BEST imo short turns you can make in moguls/steeps/tree whatever IMO use flexion in the transitions. the issue with this most people think that 'harder' way of skiing because you are using alot of range of motion. Yes you are using alot of range of motion but as your skis are coming up to your body during the transtions they are actually unweighted. Unweighted(or better yet less weight) skis means that at that time you legs arent actually holding up untill you extend and 'in' the turn again.
realistically if your skiing with enough dynamics your abs will get worked long before your legs do.
thats my story and I am sticking to it. If this doenst make sense or you disagree with me please post up, its a open forum after all.
