Questions about Salomon 914 bindings

I have a set of Salomon s914 bindings with riser plates, was wondering if the new set of Salomon 914 lab bindings, without risers, can use the plates I have with the old bindings, or will they mount on the skis (without the risers) using the exact same mount, without going through the base.  The bindings without the plates will have smaller screws to avoid that problem right? Ideally I still want to use the risers I have...

Should be teh same fitting

A couple of points,  Salomon (and most companies) use the same toe and heel pieces for riser vs. non-riser bindings.  But the screws will be different lengths.  Take a toe and heel that came with a riser, mount flat onto a ski and there's a pretty darn good chance the screws will be coming out of the bases.

Secondly, there aren't any "new" 914's.  You may have a new pair but the binding itself is at least two years old
