Went skiing yesterday in 65 degree weather (skied in my T-shirt).
There's this one run at this resort, it's not the steepest but it's longer than the other ones they have. It's was nice early but that didn't last. By late morning it was all chopped up, with piles of slush and scrapped off patches.
I tried carving, long sweeping curves, but I wasn't able to get enough pressure to keep my skis on the ground if the carve happened to go over one of the piles of slush.
I tried to do a narrow, faster carve. It worked to a degree but again I felt like I wasn't in touch with the ground enough.
I tried pretending the piles of slush were moguls and tried twisting in and out between them, this one worked the best but it wore me out quickly and wasn't quite as satisfying as just zipping down the hill.
What would you recommend? Any suggestion will be appreciated.
