After a largely snowless month or so, last week things in the PNW started looking more like...well, the PNW. With some new snow finally showing up at the end of February, Stevens delivered. And Posaune reports Baker was pretty sweet today. Not to be left out of the continuing fun, we spent the past couple of days playing at Stevens.
Thursday saw the best new snow in a very long time. The kind of snow that makes stopping for photo-ops fall off the to-do list for a while. Somewhere around 10:30 we finally decided a few pics were in order.
Despite the back side being closed all morning, there were still some nice front side turns to be had.
And that's it for Thursday pics... Today only brought a dusting of new snow. But things skied pretty well nonetheless.
I'm pretty sure our pal Rick had some fun while shilling for Volkl at the same time .
Hey, think this might be fun?
I'm thinking Rick is gonna give it a thumbs up.
And I'm pretty sure cloudpeak is gonna second that motion.
And a couple final shots of yours truly. Bad aim or art? Or maybe I'm part vampire so only part of me shows up in pictures? You decide...
PS: If you know anyone who lost a ski a short way out on the traverse above Skid Road sometime this season, let them know their ski kind of surfaced out of the traverse today. I assume patrol has it...
