This has been a dismal season in the WA Cascades. It started late and after some great powder days around Christmas it quit snowing in early January and didn't add much of anything for almost two months. Finally it has begun to snow again and today was an absolute dream of a day at Mt. Baker. Bluebird skies, cool temperatures, and the leftovers from a dump the day before (which I was unable to attend). The snow was light and soft, the views were even more stunning than usual on a clear day, and the skiing was delightful. I feel like a starving man who was given a fine meal.
More snow tomorrow and I'll be there!
