Hunter - 3/5

Thread Starter

I looked at the weather forecast and given the chance of rain and warmer temps today and for weekend, I decided to take a day off and go to Hunter yesterday (Thursday).

The conditions were pretty good, thanks to last Monday's snowfall of 6" (according to their snow report, which I seriously doubt - probably more like 4").

Skied from 9 am till 2:30 pm. Conditions were packed power all around, except Claire's Way that was pretty icy and almost noone was skiing it. It was quite "busy" for a Thursday at Hunter, as I'm sure many people decided to go for the same reasons I did. The wait for a chair was still minimal though.

Great day with comfortable temps, given the blue skies and that there was no wind at all!

Josh, you gonna share with us city folk what you think of "our" mountain?

If you're calling me Josh, you're confusing me with somebody else.

Anyway, Hunter and Mount Snow are the mountains are go most often to, plus my yearly trip out West, which unfortunately didn't happen this year.

BTW, I love Hunter - go there as often as I can, which is certainly not often enough.
