So I guess even though I don't feel all that great and I called off work I might as well head out and get in some skiing.

I just got an email from the local ski hill.  It looks like tomorrow will more than likely be the end of the season.   I am off now to enjoy the few hours we have left.

Just went out to get the mail here in SW Pa. and its got to be that warm here too. Tuesday AM it was 10F! So around comes the weekend and sure enough we get a blast of summer also to be accompanied by some rain.

Fortunately, I have a trip to Utah for 3.5 days in two weeks hopefully finish up the days on my Colorado card at Vail first week of April. Supposed to be colder here next week but probably too little too late to revive any decent skiing here again.

That stinks, this is the first weekend since opening weekend that I'm not skiing.  The weather forecast shows an 80% chance of rain.  I'm not driving three hours to get wet!

Even in the foothils of the rockies it has been getting damn hot, I think we have lost a foot of base or something stupid.

Wow, expected to get a blast of cold this weekend, temps 15 degrees below normal.  Sorry to hear you guys are getting shut out of the season so early.  Mountain biking has already started in the areas where snow has melted, yet the mountain's base is 130 inches and growing.

This happened in the last hour. Life is good, all is well again.

It's about 60F in NYC today.  Finally brought out the bike.

It was a balmy 78 degrees at the hill yesterday for what was more than likely the last day of the season.  As long as the weather doesn't get too crazy I think they would have a enough snow to reopen but I won't hold my breath on that.

The thermometer outside my house says 68, the official temp at LaG airport, 1/4 mile away is 60.

I just washed the salt off of my sidewalk, cars, and the stray cats outside.

I waxed the cars, but not the sidewalk or cats.

I'm waxing my skis too, and probably going to spend Monday morning jibbing and landing switch at Slushsky's lovely resort in beautiful Hunter N.Y. I'll leave before I get heatstroke in the afternoon.

Last week was like a replay of Woodstock; not because there was any peace and love among the skiers and riders, but because of the sea of mud in the parking lot.

It was 48 when we left Waterville Valley yesterday...low 50s when we got home at dinner time.

It was snowing like crazy when I got up this morning, and the commute was horrendous from it falling on warm pavement. Not ice, but a reasonable approximation.

We might get 6" here, but the mountains will probably get less. Even a bit more would be nice for our midweek trip up to Bretton Woods. WV was starting to show some bare ground here and there, not a very pretty sight.

Yeah, if this weather keeps in NYC I'm screwed: I have one more day left at Windham on my WinTer pass, and yesterday the NYC Ski and Board trip to Windham was cancelled! Hopefully they'll have just *one* more trip...otherwise, does anyone who is able to make it up there on there own (read: has own transportation) want a day at Windham?

You can only go on a weekend, right?
