I just got back from Winter Park a couple weeks ago and am already trying to decide where I want to go next. I've only been to Colorado resorts: Vail twice, Keystone twice, and Winter Park. I have no real complaints about any of them; altough I wouldn't go to Keystone again if I could avoid it. My list consists of Jackson Hole, Big Sky, and Whistler.
How do places like Jackson Hole, Big Sky, and Whistler compare to those places in CO?
type of terrain?
I'm probably a level 6 technique wise but a 7.5-8 capability wise, I'll ski anything without a cliff. I'm pretty rough around the edges. I've been to ski school twice when I was 6(first time skiing) and then when I was 12(I'm now 29). I will definately go next time as I would like become a much better skier from a technique perspective. I love bumps and hard blacks/blue blacks and off piste glades and forest trails. I don't really know what skiing in powder is like. Deepest I've been in is 6-8" of freshies. I could care less about partying or shopping. I go to ski, first chair up and usually last to get off the mountain.
