It has been a couple of weeks since I last skied at Jiminy. The last time I was there was on a Sunday and the mountain looked like a page from Where's Waldo. I met my friend Joel this morning and we were glad to see Jiminy in great shape for high speed carving with almost no one else around.
We skied every run off the Berkshire Express at least once, took a break to unfreeze our fingers and toes, skied a few more, and then I went to work. It was sunny and quite cold this morning but warmed up considerably by Noon. All of the runs were groomed pancake flat and had a nice covering to hold an edge. The steep runs, Jericho, Whitetail and Whirlaway were a quick thrill to bomb with no one else on them.
Ahh, the joys of midweek skiing!
