I'm looking to get a bit more life out of my liners which have packed out somewhat, leaving me with a slightly loose fit for my narrow feet. I've put some 4mm shims under the liners to take up a little volume there (assuming it's better under the liner, rather than IN the liner under the footbed - please correct if wrong). Now I want to stick something like neoprene to the boot tongue to push my heel back into the heel pocket. I'd just buy Eliminator tongue shims but they don't seem to be available in the UK, so I'm having to roll my own equivalent. How wide should the tongue shim be, and extending how far, to have the effect I'm after? And, from anyone who has worked with neoprene, what kind of adhesive would you recommend?
