Retro Spring day at Okemo

Let's try this again. Since we can't do a poll, anyone that might like to do a Retro day later in March or early April post what day will work best and we'll see if we can enjoy some soft snow, sunny skies and straight skis....

I'll throw out the 21st or 22nd of March to open things up

I won't be able to make it but would love to see a TR with photos of someone skiing on those Smashes I sent up that way.

I heard a rumor that they are "wrapped like a mummy". Any significance to this

I've been thinking about my ski picks for this day. Realistically 3 pairs will be about it.....

I'm think'n one from the 70's, one from the 80's and a pair from the 90's

They were meticulously preserved and embalmed in trash bags and duct tape for the ski rack ride to PA

RossiSmash,

If you "loan" me your rental plates, I will mount up the Ski with the S.4's and bring them.

I'm not sure that I like the way you say "loan" .....I'm think'n Lojack on the plates AND metal detectors on the way to the parking lot   Besides that you still need to win a set of brakes! But after all those measures are in place....well sure .

Now I think I'd have to go with the Rossi Freestlyes with Looks to counter your setup. Sounds like the afternoon gear. I'm thinking ST650's in the morning, or ST Comps, or 4Sk's, or Volkl Renntiger's, or Olin IV Comps, or KVC Comps, or Yahoo's, or, well you can see my problem

Bump

No other New England Bears are interested in breaking out their old boards and coming out to make turns and relive the old days with Pug and Smash

Dates available would seem to be the 15th, 16th or 17th (March)

Anyone?

I would love to come, but have plans to ski with some old friends in NH that weekend.

I'm going to fail miserably on that count....can't even locate my old blue hat with the French flag vertically in the front (was a diehard Rossi guy back then). Will be in my wool pants though...but I still wear them EVERYDAY
