Next week I plan on hitting the slopes on vacation but I really have no idea what I am doing. I have been looking at the weather forecast and for the days leading up to and in to my skiing time, it is showing 0% precipitation and sunny, highs in the 40's and 50's with lows in the teens and 20's. My fear is that the heat and sun during the day combined with the freezing temperatures at night will create a bunch of ice on the slopes and not the good powder skiers prefer. There is at least a foot so snow as a base layer but I am worried that my ski time will be not that great even though I made an effort to go out west and avoid the east cost stuff b/c I wanted to really ski. What can I expect? Thanks.
