I was just skiing a couple days in Utah, and I finally decided I need new boots. I've been using these Salomon Performa 4.0 from about six years ago. They're a size 27.5, which I believe to be a bit too big, and they just aren't cutting it for me.
I'm a good skier, I spend most of my time on blacks, in moguls, and searching for powder. I ski on K2 Public Enemies from a couple years ago. I'm quite light so I don't want too stiff of a boot (I was thinking in the 80-90 range), and I have fairly narrow feet with moderately high arches.
I'm not super picky about my fit, by my current boots tend to hurt the top of my foot the first day of a trip.
I just went to my local ski shop and they had precisely two boots in my size, and both had issues (one was a hokey rear-entry boot from Nordica, and the other an absurdly soft and squeaky boot claiming to have a stiffness of 100). Living in Wisconsin doesn't give me good options for buying in person, so I was considering just buying a pair online based on recommendations and seeing how they fit.
That's where you come in --recommend a boot you think I might like. I know you can't see my foot, but based on what I said, tell me what you think. I did a bit of looking around and liked the sound of the Nordica Spark and Ignition, as well as the Tecnica Agent 95 and Diablo Pro and the Atomic M90. Do these seem like reasonable boots for me? What do you like?
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks a lot for the help.
