My pop in law to be that goes by the name Friday here and started to ski in his late 50's showing the bunny hill who's boss.  I made this little video in his honor..he's 65 now. Turn up your speakers.

Simply the best TR ever.

Bravo.  Nice composition.

I noticed he is passing everyone.  Could he be Chaos?

 Yay Friday!!!!!

Having met Friday, I can honestly say, this is one of the coolest things I've seen in a while!

Amazing how he deftly managed to steer clear of those dreaded Hunter ice patches!

Awesome! I can hardly wait for the sequel, sequel to the sequel, sequel to that, and the eventual prequel....

Best regards,

Bob

Cool! I thought you were MIA but apparantly you were busy in production. Some peeps were looking for your input on body armor and what not.

I honor anyone over 30 to start skiing. But late 50s? He must be proud and some serious guts to be able to start then!

When my wife and I started whitewater boating years ago, we took a weeklong class at Zoar Outdoor in Western Mass. There was a 65 year old guy taking the class, and did pretty well. I've always wondered if he kept with it or not.

Good for your future father in law Rich. My dad turns 70 next month, and I think it might be worth trying to get him out to the bunny slope for a couple hours.

I thought that too but realized Chaos probably skis the Hunter West bunny hill.  It's not on any trail map.

Richie, this is a very good sign.   Pop-in-Law must really like you.  Nice job getting him functional on the slopes

Excellent video, Richie!  Props to the old dog for learning some new tricks. I met a guy around his age who had started Telemark skiing only four years earlier. He was skiing the glades at Jay. Never too late.

Cool video.  My husband learned to ski at the a few days before his 36th birthday.  Now he can ski black diamonds at 7 springs in PA.  Plus he is not a huge risk taker so this is a great accomplishment.  Now we ski together.

Great video.

Good work, great video.  The adage being it is never too late . . .or . . .  the best skier on the hill is the one having the most fun.

Ditto, looking forward to the sequel.

Bravo... Standing ... Clapping....

The suspenseful buildup was almost more than I could bear at times.  I had to look away at first, but as soon as I heard the Kenny Loggins, I knew it would have a happy ending.

Well done!!

Thanks gang, yes I give him a lot of credit for starting to ski and sticking with it.  I have been trying my best to help him move on to the next level...the enthusiasm is there!

Fantastic.  I thoroughly enjoyed that.  There is a place in out night league for him any time!
