What wide ski length for me?

I'm 5'7" (170cm) tall with an inseam of 29 inches and weigh 145lbs.  I'm looking into getting a new soft snow ski with a 90-95mm waist like the Scott Crusade, Watea 94 or Snoop Daddy.  I plan on skiing steeps, moguls and the ungroomed (preferably fresh powder but more likely cut up and soft crud) with these new skis, prefer smaller radius, quick turns and ski at moderate speeds.  I ski mostly out West in CO, UT and Tahoe.  I currently ski on 6 year old 168cm Atomic R:Ex and 165cm Fischer RX8 (soon to be 165cm Progressor 8+) and have been very happy with both of them.  Given my height, weight and skiing preferences, is there any reason for me to get a ski longer than ~170cm?  Apart from better floation and more stability at speed is there anything else a ~180cm length ski would be better at?  How much difference in quickness and maneuverability would there be between a ~170cm and ~180cm ski?  Thanks!

A) For one thing the shortest that the Fischer comes in is a 178

A) No

A) If comparing two sizes in the same ski, usually not much diff at all.
