Coming to Summit County 28 Mar - 04 Apr

I'll be skiing for 6 days from 29 Mar - 03 Apr and have an Epic Pass.  Would love to hook up with the local Bears and any out of towners like myself that will be in the area at that time.

Jim, I will be in Summit Cnty from April 2- April 14.  Not certain if Jo will be with me or not.  Pretty good chance I'll be staying in Frisco and able to go to any of the Vail resorts, I've got a Colorado pass.

It would be great to make some turns with you again.  Is Anne traveling with you this trip?

Sounds great Pat!  Are you skiing 2/3 April or just the 3rd?  Any Vail resort will work for me.  Will be great to ski with you again and unfortunately Annie's not making this trip.

Jim,

My first day of skiing will be on the 3rd, 2nd is a travel day.  Not certain where I'm staying yet, it may be at Vail and it may be Frisco.  As it gets closer I'll send you my number and a better idea of what my plans are.

A Day at the Beav, would be nice?

Hello all - myself and a few friends will be headed out there April 3-7th.   Staying in Silverthorne and skiing wherever the wind blows us.  Or wherever has the best snow.

Will anyone be skiing the 3rd or the 8th?  I haven't booked my flight yet, and may try to add a day onto the beginning or end of the trip.   My companions all have "real jobs" so have to make it a short weekend.

Thanks!

I will be staying in Frisco and skiing at mostly Vail resorts from the 3rd through the 7th.  6th and 7th are tentatively scheduled to be at Breck.

On the 8th we are moving over to Lionshead and will be skiing Vail and Beaver Creek until we leave on the 14th.

There will be other bears of all different skill levels in the area at the same time so there should be people to ski with.

Jim, Glen, etc -

I do plan to make it to CO around the same time - probably the 31st through the 4th not set in stone yet.  Would like to make a few turns with ya'll.  Hope Betsy joins.  And it would be ok if she brought Don.

Look forward to Jim’s trip in as well as skiing with this developing posse.

Yes Gary; I’ve grown use to the notion that everyone puts up with me only for the fact they enjoy skiing and sharing a lift with Betsy.  I don’t even mind that I tune and wax everyone’s skis and carry all equipment back to the cars just to hang with the crew.  I’ve even grown use to the court order to keep me 100 yards behind everyone on the slope.  Regardless, I look forward to seeing and skiing with all of you [of course from a distance ] once again.

Glad to see your reply Don.  It's always a good time when skiing with you.

I'll try to keep up and buy the first round.

I'm not going to make this trip folks

A guy at work is married to a Polish immigrant and her mother is gravely ill.  They're heading over there this Tuesday and will not be returning until 14 April so I have to fill in for him.

Looks like my season is done, but it was a good one.

See the Summit County/Denver gang in December.

Jim

Sorry to hear that.  Hopefully that means more days available for next season.

Jim, I'm sorry that you will not be in Summit County.  Hope to see you next ski season.

However,  I believe that my schedule is finally coming together.  Plan to ski April 1st thru the 5th mostly at the Vail resorts.  Pedalbiker and Fireball and anyone else - I don't recall if we have skied together in the past but always ready to make new friends.  If interested, please post or PM.

Gary

Gary and others,

Here is our tentative schedule for April in Colorado.

Fri & Sat April 3rd & 4th  Keystone and A Basin

Sun.  5th  Whichever one we want to try again or have friends at.

Mon & Tues  April 6 & 7 Breckenridge

Weds 8th  probably an off snow day but open to?

Thurs 9th through Monday 13th Vail and Beaver Creek

I'm a strong midwestern intermediate, can ski most anything as long as its groomed.  Trying to learn more about the powder and ungroomed.  Will be skiing most days with my girlfriend who not as strong and not real interested in ungroomed.  If we aren't compatible ability wise we're up for meeting for lunch or after.

The first part of the trip we will be staying in Frisco and commuting.  For Vail we are staying in Lionshead.

I will be skiing on my own most of the days at Breck, I think there will be a few other bears around those days as well.

If anyone is intersested in hooking up with us pm me and we'll exchange contact info etc.

Jim sorry to hear you won't be making the trip, was looking forward to skiing with you again.

Jo sells herself short.  She should look into Uncle Louie's Cubefest as skimuggle suggests and rock the mountain, like I know she can!!

If anyone is skiing Breck on 4/6 and 4/7 I will have extra discount tickets.  $39 dollar day tickets are available, and go to Cubefest participants first,  and a few $ 50 dollar tickets are also available.

There are several who have Vail Resorts passes that are attending the event that MAY also have these tickets available.

PM me if you are interested and shortly I will post meeting times to this thread so you know where to find me.

(Jim-sorry you can't make the trip, I know how much you were looking forward to it)

I'll be at Breck on 4/6 and 4/7 as the spouse of a Cubefest-attendee.  Depending on conditions (i.e. no family on a powder day ), I'll likely be skiing with my 6 y/o who will ski all but the steepest groomed stuff and some easier ungroomed stuff.
