I was going to make a loaded phuzzy dice joke here, but that could so be taken the wrong way .

We want everything related to Cubefest  to go right, so let's not have any wrong-way possibilities injected here.

But, very much yes, I'd expect UL's fellow coach to be capable of considerable fastness in the appropriate settings.

Rumor has it so.  Perhaps we should rename it to CubePhest?  CubePhast?

Hey Uncle Louie,

Is there a separate listing of the Bears' activities that weekend?  I've been out of the "Bear" loop as have hooked up with Copper's OHG crowd, but I believe there could be opportunities to touch base before the end of the season.

phuzzy dice, phantoms, a phast phest ?  Should we be looking for some phast phuzzy phantom or some phantom phuzzy dice going phast during the phest ?  Kinda a weird way to go retro, but it could work.

Phunny phunny stuff!

From across the room, UL said he will reveal the identity of the mystery coach later today just to, as he says, stop the madness!

Awww, he doesn't need to do that. A little mystery is always good.  Besides, I figured it out right away, as have others.   But phuzzy dice on a phast phantom's ski poles would be phunny !  Sure way to lighten up any tense moments at a phest ?  I can just picture it.

This phurry phido says no pharking way he'd phlaunt phuzzy dice on his poles, no matter how fenomenally phast he phlies down the phalline !!!

Long time Cheryl,

There are a few people from out of the area that you have skied with that will be around on the 4th and 5th.  There will also be "the significant others" of those in the Cubefest Clinic, and you have skied with most of them too.  If you want to head off with some of those people meet us in the morning of the 6th and 7th and go with them.

Otherwise check the "Front Range Roll Call" thread and jgiddyup's thread "Coming to Summit County 3/28 - 4/4" at the Gathering/Let's Go Forum.  That will give you a hint on who's out.  All the impromptu meetings are now being done via the "Front Range Roll Call Thread".

OK....So I can keep wedding ceremonies on the hill a secret, but can't keep a good coach a secret.  So I'm 1 for 2.

Rick ( www.yourskicoach.com )  (aka Fastman) is the other coach for Cubefest.  Both Rick and I are looking forward to the event as I hope the attendees are.

Soon, those attending the clinic will be sent information via PM,  that will detail the agenda,  with meeting times and places and some hints on what to expect.

If there are any folks skiing the area that want to connect with other Bears,  the significant others of those in the clinic will be skiing at Breckenridge on 4/6 and 4/7. They range in ability from those who ski groomed expert terrain to the "go almost anywhere" set.

We are meeting at the base of the Beaver Run Chair at Breckenridge at 9 AM.  Look for us OUTSIDE around one of the Copper Top Restaurant's tables.

I, for one, can't wait

Ladies, are you ready for Cubefest?

Today we took a few warm-up runs in the freshly falling snow.  Beautiful stuff!  Uncle Louie and I met up with Rick and Janis, Gary, Kneale, and Monique and enjoyed great "spring" conditions and friendship.  A special happy birthday wish to Monique, who, for the record, is one smooth skier!

Uncle Louie and Rick are PSYCHED about Cubefest:  are YOU???! Whee!!

Rent a cow, and come on out!

I am excited!!  Only hoping my legs hold out until then.  We were at Keystone today and probably A-Basin tomorrow.  I am quitting daily before Pat does so I don't kill myself before cubefest.

Drink lots of water,  practice breathing deep and flex your legs often on the lift and on the hill.  That will help.

Thanks for that advice UL.  I skied in Vail today.   Wet, heavy powder----lots of effort expended--not a lot of experience w/powder.  Will also follow your advice!

Try slightly flatter terrain today in the powder with a slightly larger (round) radius.  Concentrate on keeping the tips of the skis moving forward through the snow, and no sudden moves.

I don't know what width ski you are skiing at present, but if you want to try some wider skis there is a good selection of demos at the tent at the top, and it's not expensive.

Uncle Louie just phoned from Breck--it's dumping there, with more on the way.  Weather for Monday and Tuesday is sunshine and moderate temps.  Ahhhh!
