I recently bought some new boots, as I was swimming in my old ones. The new boots are Lange Fluid 80 FR, size 26.5. The old boots are Head Edge 10, size 27.5. I typically wear a 9D dress shoe and 9.5 athletic shoe. I have medium wide & medium volume feet; I can get measurements later, if need be. The length of the Lange's seems good - the shell fit left ~15mm behind my heel. The fit off the shelf was snug and unpainful.
The first time I wore them my two small toes on both feet went numb after an hour. I was wearing light-weight wool socks. I figured the liner needed to pack-out, and all would be well after a few days on the slopes. I used them last Friday with light-weight acryilic socks. Again, my toes went numb, and at the end of the day my left foot was in excruciating pain.
My toes regained feeling after removing my boots, but the ball of my foot has a numb spot, and when I walk it feels like I have a marble lodged between my shoe and my foot. It isn't painful, but it certainly has me worried! I have a Dr appointment today (with a nurse practitioner), but I don't think they'll be able to tell me what's wrong unless it's broken and shows up on an x-ray.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any idea what could be wrong? (besides my boots not fitting correctly )
