I need to move the heel piece back slightly... and can't figure-out how to do it. I just moved some Salomon 900's a slight tad -- and it was easy (lift-up on the tab with a screwdriver and slide the heel piece). But the N0311's have me stumped. There's the big phillips (DIN) and then there is an odd-shaped "round-ish something-or-other" with an engraved "arrow" on it -- that would seem to be the ticket (if it is designed similar to the Salomon). But I don't think that's it. Hmmmm. Any help would be appreciated.
Marker N0311 Heel Piece Adjustment
For those who are interested...
I don't have time to send a picture, but I will try to verbalize. Folks reading this will realize that the N0311 is an integrated XBS (Nordica Afterburner). The binding adjustment is pretty simple once you figure it out and the great thing is you can adjust both the heel and toe. Although I was only going to move the heel a smidgen (i.e., like I would have done with a "regular" binding that has a fixed toe), it is nice to be able to move both in order to keep things centered-up. But even if it was a traditional binding, I was only going to move the heel a little bit (mid-point of the boot and ski would still have been very closely aligned).
There are two phillips screws on the front and the back. Naturally, leave the screw that holds the brake cover alone. Once you have the screws loosened (maybe you don't have to loosen them? -- I am inside and it is 4:00 AM -- and the skis are in the garage), there is a small plastic "lever" (both heel and toe) that says... "SKI" (green) and "NO SKI" (red) -- or something like that. Flip it out to the red point -- and then push it a little further (this releases the track). Now you can slide the toe and heel pieces. You'll notice a small "observation port" that has markings corresponding to the boot size (millimeters). The previous setting was 324 on both front and back. My boots are 338 (29.5). But there is no "338" marking, so I set the back to 342 and the front to 334 (or something like that) -- just getting it as close as possible to fit the boot. Flip the little lever back to "ski/green" and then re-install the screws.

I'd also like to hear about this - I was under the impression that there was no independent forward pressure adjustment on this type of binding?
