The JF has metal whereas the AB has Carbon. The whole Hot Rod line is set up like that. You should be able to get whatever binding you want... it's the same plate.
I have JFs and they are tanks on speed skates. A great (going-through) crud ski that also kills groomers.
Such a powerful ski, I see nary-a-reason to ever go narrower again. (outside an SL ski for the quiver)
When the snow accumulates, and I'm poaching fresh pockets, I wish they were softer. But I have other skis for that snow. They are also too much ski when there is no visibility and I can't let them run.
If I were in the market for a crud-buster, however, I'd look elsewhere for a flat ski. That system binding is stuck on that ski. The '06s (mine) had a system that can transfer to other flat skis. (assuming a man can measure and drill) New ones have a different mold mounting the system on the ski. Depends on what you want though... very good deals on older setups. Pretty hard to say no to some of those prices.
