Arrived in Denver Monday, 2/2, stayed overnight to acclimate, (seems to have helped!). Stopped for a day @ Copper on the way to Vail for our week's vacation. It was sunny and warm at Copper, no-one there! Great day...haven't skied Copper in around 5 years and I still think it's one of the best resorts going. Well run.
Day off on Wed, drove to Glenwood springs and soaked in the pool for 3 hrs....fabulous!
Thurs and Fri @ Vail, no new snow, but sunny and warm, (upper 30's), good skiing! Friday was the biggest crowd we saw the whole trip, (didn't ski Sat, went back to Glenwood).
Sunday was cloudy, still in the 30's no new snow, but still good skiing. Mon and Tue snowed off-and-on all day, picked up a few inches and it freshened the surfaces. Great skiing, though not like last year when it snowed ~ 6" or more every day!
Crowds are down during the week. Vail is loaded with folks from Argentina on holiday....must be a good deal for them.
The wife and I had a great time....Colorado never fails to please us!
