i know boots are not sized like shoes, can someone tell me what the womens size 10 would be in boot talk??/ thanks

Approximately a 27.0

Of course you know that is only a place to start.  You may need a 26.5 or 27.5 or ?...

I find when people tell me what size they are it is different over 50% of the time in regards to fitting a ski boot.

Good Luck

Sorry to but in, but did you notice he said "WOMAN'S size 10"?  I take a Man's size 10 in Canada, and my ski boot is 27.

your not butting in, all responses are welcome, please..... i know she has to go to a fitter, she said her boots now are tight...maybe never fit right to begin with???? not sure.... i think going to a good shop and getting properly measured and fit will be the first step

A more difficult question that the OP thinks.  Technically speaking, a 28 = a men's 10, a 27 = a women's 10.  But that's in theory.  Very few people who are properly fitting wear anything close to that.  It's all about how the boot actually fits, that's why the shell fit is so important.  Don't get hung up on a number, get hung up on the fit

guys read the info, the thread was designed for the fitters to respond to.....

Yes, until the new site issues are worked through the current parameters are allowing anyone to post replies in this forum.  Please note that responses from our carefully screened and selected expert boot fitters will be denoted by the bootfitter moniker underneath their name (for the most part, but that is another issue being reconciled).  If you are looking for answers from anyone and everyone, your query can be posted in the gear forums.

Though there are people out there like skierhj who seem to know what they are talking about we can not assure or guarantee that all responses here are credible so please use caution until this temporary glitch in our programming has been reconciled!

I didn't realize that I had posted in the boot fitters forums as I usually pass it by since I've got my bootfitting dialed in.  Sorry for the intrusion

I have moved this thread to general gear discussion.  We don't have the abilty to restrict replies through the permissions system in Ask The Boot Guys.  Please watch for threads in that area in making replies. This question can be snswered by forum members.

27 Mondo may be too large on a woman with a woman's size 10.  26-26.5 should work well, but be sure to shell fit. Results will vary depending on the chart you look at, and intention for fitting (performance, comfort). Nothing can replace actually trying on the boot and the assistance of someone knowledgable in boots and fitting.
