OK, where did it go?
I no longer have any button that says "preview post."
The normal view of the post in the editor is WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get), so is, effectively, a preview. Having a preview button is on the development list, however.
What, specifically, are you wanting to see?
I tried to link a youtube video and it didn't look like the video linked so I didn't post it. I thought that in a "Preview mode" it might have showed that it worked correctly. I didn't realize I already had WYSIWYG. Now that I know that, I'll have to figure out what I was doing wrong.
Alright, I just found the Video embedding turorial in a wiki. It looks like I did it right and maybe it will embed only after the post is actually submitted. However, I did not hit submit post when I tried this before because all I saw in the WYSIWYG preview is a large box with a youtube logo and nothing more to indicate an actual video link.
Did I miss something or is that the way it works?
With the "preview post" feature of the old site, I could play the youtube or vimeo video prior to submitting the post. With the new site, there is no way to confirm the video has been correctly embedded until I submit the post.
At the old site, you had to edit the video URL address to only post the index number of the video. The current version of EpicSki, you copy and paste the whole address of the video and it will work. Post it, if you have a problem, go back in and edit. There is now a 10 minute grace period before the edit caption shows up.
It is. That function is slated for the next major push.
