Grand Timber Lodge @ Breck

I'm staying at the Grand Timber Lodge during an upcoming trip to Breck and was wondering if anyone had 1st hand experience with the place?

The resort website makes it look pretty good in terms of both quality and location, but you know how that goes.

Thanks!

Not personally.  But I did have some friends stay there and had no complaints.

Do a search on this forum under Grand Timber Lodge.  You will at the very least find my post on it.  We stayed in a one bedroom in April 2007. Very nice property...we were able to walk across the street and grab a lift to the mountain.  At the end of the day there is a pretty flat trail that takes you home.  At the very end we actually ended up skiing down the snow covered street back to GTL!

Outdoor pools/hottub great and there is a free shuttle into town.  All in all a very nice stay.  I also posted a video on Youtube which you will find searching for "Grand Timber Lodge".

I have stayed at GTR a few times on timeshare exchanges.  It is a great property.  Truly ski-off and depending on what end of the property you are staying on, you can ski to the Snowflake lift or ski/walk to another lift.  Enjoy.  Breck makes a great home base to ski a number of areas.  Last year during our week, we did Breck (2 days), Vail (2 days), and Keystone (2 days.)

I've stayed there, and enjoyed it.  I believe they have an excellent spa as well (or so my wife tells me).  No complaints.

We own there (since '01)and have nothing but good things to say about the resort. The resort sits right btw Peaks 9 and 8. Christy Sports is located right on site and once you get your skis you can ski right down to Peak 9.  There are ski lockers at two different locations at the resort if you have your own skis. You can ski down to snowflake lift if you are staying in buildings 2,3,4. Christy's is closer to Buildings 5, 6. The restaurant (Lodgepole Grill) is very good and inexpensive. Happy hour drink specials every day. The concierge there is wonderful and can set you up with lift tickets, dining, snowmobiling, etc. There is always something going on for guests too (snowshoeing, sleighrides for example). Both indoor outdoor pools are very nice.  Hot tubs at each as well. We especially like the one nearest Lodgepole and Bldngs 5,6....but the hottubs stay less crowded at the older of the two pools and are more intimate.

Spa there is a treat too if you want another way to treat your tired muscles after skiing hard all day.

Just pm me if you have any more questions. Enjoy your trip!
