Urgently need some suggestions for good bootfitters in Whistler...

I'm in a tough situation...I just trashed my boots (Lange Comps flex 120) a week before my trip to Whistler and I cannot find any performance level boots in the Boston area in my size (shoe size 14)....I may be able to fit into a 30.5 or 30 with the right bootfitting....any recommendations in Whistler?  I know they have a Surefoot there but I'd rather go with a lwell recommended local shop if possible...

You have a couple exceptional bootfitter that are a short drive from Boston. Look at the Boot Fitters on EpicSki Wiki and check names in Mass and PA.  Phone number, email and other contact info is on there, and you can even converse online in Ask The Boot Guys.

If you are looking for someone in Whistler the best is FanatykCo. http://www.fanatykco.com/

Fanatyko is the correct answer.

I could NEVER get boots that fit right until I went to Fanatyko. Great guys to hang with too.

It's a hit or miss time to buy boots this time of year, as most shops are running low on stock. But if you know what boot and size you want, go to your local shop that carries them and he can order them. If the distributor doesn't have them, call Northern Ski Works in Killington, they watch stock reports and buy the sizes that are low. Pissed me off a few years ago, because I needed a certain size, had the rep track down the only pair on the east coast to them, and they wouldn't let them go for less than retail, even with the rep asking..

Snowcovers also has a store in Vancouver - you have to pass through Vancouver on your way to Whistler and they may have more selection.  Phone is 604-738-3715.  I have big feet as well and they did a great job on my boots.

There is also a WB owned store called Can-Ski that has a decent reputation for bootfitting.  They are in the main village. 604.938.7755

Snowcovers and Fanatykco are certainly the best bets I know of.  Other stores are Comor and Wild Willies.

Good luck!

Best to call the Whistler stores and ask what they have instock.  If one store has nothing ask who they suggest calling

Worst case I have a 11,12,13 in the full tilt (98mm) in banff, and can ship.

I have fluid' 120's in 29,30,31,32 too.
