Wife and i are going back to breck and vail for a week .  My wife has to leave mid week and needs a shuttle back to the air port in Denver. I was going to drive her back but then i lose a day for skiing . My question is if anyone knows of a different shuttle service then Rocky mountain express or other service  from the breck area. thanks for any help

Do you mean Colorado Mountain Express?  That's the only one I know of other than the Greyhound bus.

I took one once called "Lift Ticket Limo", but I don't think they're operating anymore.

To be honest, at $55 from the Frisco Transfer Center (take the free Summit County bus to Frisco), I think CME is a steal.

Colorado Mountain Express goes door to door, you can buy the tickets and reserve when you arrive in the Denver airport.

Or, if you are real cheap like some skiers on this site, you can take the Summit Stage to the Frisco Station for free, catch the Greyhound to the downtown Denver bus terminal, and the bus from the downtown terminal to the airport.  It's maybe half the price but it can take a little longer.

If you suggest the Greyhound, let me know how that works with your wife.

Wow, pleased to meet you MikeS.  Please, NEVER, NEVER, take Old boot up on meeting you.  I just don't need to know two like minded......

Well, let's just say, you could go real cheap and buy a ticket that gives you a day off in the middle and drive your wife to the airport and stop somewhere on the way back and do night skiing for less then shuttle.  You'll keep your wife alot happier too...who will already be big time disappointed that she has to leave ski country in the middle of the week in perfect conditions.

(Old Boot is still laughing in his chair wishing to meet the fellow that would ask his wife to take a shuttle to the airport so he didn't have to give up the 1 extra day skiing when she had to head away.)

Dudes thanks  for all the  Great advise  ( I think ) .  Ok the other side of the story , We live in atlanta and i have a colorado  pass . She does not ski and the only reason she wanted to come back early is because of a  eight month old  lab at home .  We were out in breck for a week in Jan and all i heard about was the dog!  Who would have know that the dog that i bought her  as a present,  would jack with my skiing . Any way i think she has decided  to stay the whole week now with me now . I did like the hitch hike idea the best . Thanks.
