“Not exactly roughing it” misses the mark for me also and I ski the Beav every weekend. Yes it’s sarcastic and poorly done IMO notwithstanding it has appeal I suppose for the Noon to 2 PM skiers who are renting the 10k sq. foot homes around Strawberry Park.
The Beav terrain is WC level and can be “Yes exactly rough” for some on Bald Eagle or Stone Creek Chutes or Royal Elk Glade for example. Even while the large fleet of state of the art grooming cats raking cord on some runs can give an impression of comfortable groomers...what they are really trying to convey with the tag line is their effort to set a standard on customer service.
The customer service effort is keenly noticeable for me as compared to the resorts in Summit or Eagle counties in CO. Also the vibe is much less militant than what I’ve experienced lately at some other resorts amongst a mix of sliders and riders.
