Count your Ski Days at SkiLogs.com

check out this new site i've been working on...

http://skilogs.com

it's an online ski journal.

it's a website where you can keep a ski diary to help you re-live your ski days...

all you have to do is go skiing, login to the site, and start adding days to your

personal online ski journal.

once you add a day to your journal you can look it up whenever you want...

that means you can re-live that epic month of pow all summer long or ten

years down the road.

21 days for me so far.

Nice site.

Nope. Don't count em. Don't need a journal to record them. The memorable ones never really fade away, and the non-memorable ones are fun but by the next day I"m looking forward to the next one instead of reliving yesterday.

BOO!

You suckered me in.  I thought this was going to be a poll about who counts their days and who doesn't... instead it's a *$%&#'n AD!

BOO!

Not only is it an ad but he insists on posting a new thread every few days to talk about it.

Yes, I count my ski days.  There are already a number of Facebook apps and no matter how many times you post I won't use yours.

i've started two threads... i created this thread a couple days ago and it got a pretty positive response.  then it got deleted somehow, so i re-posted it.

sorry if you're not interested in the site... it's not for everyone, but some people have found it to be pretty cool.  i've been keeping a journal since last april and it's pretty fun.

You know, if you just bumped up your original thread I wouldn't care but starting new ones is annoying.

I don't count them but I do wirte them down on my desk calendar so I know how many day's I've skied.

OK, so I saw your first thread... tell me again why you had to start a new one?

I use Skilogs and like it.

The sales pitch thing???  Gotta go, sounds desperate.

Your first thread got deleted because it looked and sounded like spam.  And so does this thread.

i apologize for the spam-factor... i wasn't trying to bother anybody.

it's just a new site i've been working on for fun.

i certainly don't make any money off it and just wanted to spread the word a little.  i figured if there

was any place i could find an audience for this kind of site, it was here...

i just changed the text and title of the thread to make it less spammy.

Dude, get a clue.  Nobody cares.  Go peddle your little website somewhere else.  Don't make me send out a ski ninja from my Secret Society of Elite Skiers to have you eliminated.

Jahroy is a supporter of EpicSki, and we have always allowed supporters to link to their hobby websites in their signatures.  As a result of the platform move, it looks like signatures will not be available for a few weeks, so members that used that means of communication may look for alternatives.

There is a pretty big difference between spam, and promoting a hobby.  We have members who make skis, invite others to their facebook or other websites, and some who sell used gear.  Its all kind of low key in Swap or signatures.  I expect we will have signatures around again soon, so from a moderator's perspective, we are not going to crackdown on supporters who post this kind of stuff.  Retalliation from the other members probably means you should try a more conversational or news approach (I added this, someone reported great conditions...etc).  Just a suggestion.

If you're lookng for a ski journal, this looks fine, or just post a trip report.
