I accidently hit the rate thread button instead of the quote button, on a post I didn't quite agree with.

 

Too bad I can't un-rate it.

Just for clarification - the value of the "Rate Post" button is because we have a feature that we left turned off while we wait for some posts to be rated.

 

We have a "sort by rating" feature so that you can go into a thread with 500 posts and click "sort by rating" and the concept is that the meatiest posts will then rise to the top. So if you don't mind, if you're in some threads that are awesome resources for people, give a thumbs up to the posts that really get the job done.

 

Also - would you want to know if your posts got a thumbs up? Same question with reviews?

Could be cool, though it's one for down low on the priority list . If eventually implemented, it could make for yet another way to chat with people directly interested in the subject at hand.
