What up guys
I'm 18 years old and I've been in the market for my first set of gear for a few years now. I've been demoing and demoing to try to figure out what I want in a ski and boots -- wondering if I could get some input from you pros out there
I'm a little guy at 5' 5" 130 lbs.
I've skied a lot of different stuff like K2 PEs, Nordica Hot Rods, Salomon X-Wing Tornado's, 4frnt MSP's, Volkl AC30's etc. etc. etc.
I'm looking for at all-mountain twin-tip so I can stay versatile as sometimes when I head up to Mammoth mountain I'm hitting some fresh pow or I'm bashing through the crud.
I'm a really agressive skier and I'm pretty much down to tackle any run on the mountain.
With all that said, I'm looking at skis like the Volkl Mantra/Bridge/AC50 (I know not twin)
I'm not really sure where to start in terms of checking out other brands but let me just say I demoed some Fischer X100's and I loved those boots and I was wondering if there was any further advice you guys could give in terms of a boot/binding setup that would but a wider ski like the Mantra in a better position regarding carving or harder snow.
Also, the shortest the Mantra gets is 170 and I'm wondering if I should even be considering a ski that long (I skied 163's yesterday... maybe 165 is the longest I've been on)
