Copper Mountain 2-1-09 Pics & Video

Thank you fellow Bears Mr. Vertical and Spdskr for playing tour guide today and leading the way to the fantastic runs at Copper Mountain.   I had a great time skiing with you and Treckchick, Mr. TC, Lorie, Tom, Katie and Wendy.  It was my first time at Copper today and being able to ski with those that know the mountain so well (especially one as large as Copper) is a real treat.

The weather was perfect - mid 20s, sunny, little wind.  The trail conditions were also excellent after being freshened last night with an inch of soft, fluffy snow.  Copper Bowl, Union Bowl and Spaulding Bowl were awesome.  Following below are some pics from the day.

It was a great day!

Last year Copper was the first Colorado ski resort that I took MRTC to.

He had altitude sickness and was feeling a bit out of his element socially, which didn't leave a very good first impression of Copper for him.

Today spdskr with his guiding, UGASkiDawg and his family, along with the great other bears who met up with us redeemed Copper for him and he is anxious to go back for more!

Great day on the Mountain!!!

Live4ski, it was great to see you again!!!

Glad to hear everyone had fun.  It was a great day.  Hope to ski with all of you again.  Thanks for letting me share my home mountain.

I should have called you guys back after lunch.  Little Alexandra went in to hot tub with Ellie.   So Olivia and I hit up Cabin Chute for a couple of nice runs.  The snow was really nice and on the left and right sides  Olivia gest so much better every week that it is blowing me away.  I can't keep up with her though the tight rutted bumps anymore...but she's cheating on those little 110 skiny skis

I'd have loved to have hit my favorite stuff under Sierra and off Mountain Chief with you guys!

Trek you gotta quit doing that.  I get sympathy pain.

Nice day at Cop!  Say…how’d girlfriend Tsavo tip those wider Nordi’s?

[Sent you a pm response regarding this week…not sure if that’s yet working correctly?!]

Copper 2-1-09Dave,

Great day, hope the photos we took at the top of Rendezvous came out fine! Sorry we ran out of time, still had the Super Bee & Alpine to explor along with the Cat. Next time ( along with lower Nacho).

Spaulding Always nice, the big pines always on skiers right on that one (one of my favorite lines). Little more snow in the Enchanted Forest, but still beats a day riding the couch!

Hope you get a chance to make it back out!

Don Den, we took a few runs with Katy , Top Fuels were running on 101 octane, her friend Wendy was also leaving contrials.

 Thanks for a Great Day!

Yes you should have!  I was anxiously awaiting the call, but nooooooo, you just ditched us!  "harumph!"

Cirquerider, I thought you said, you like a flexible chick.

Don Denver, its awful hard to tell how Katy tips 'em, since she's so far ahead of me.

For those of you who did not do MJ with us on Monday, you missed out.  It was phenomenal!  Next time, k?!

Yup TC...girlfriend can arc ‘em and spark ‘em.  She’ll easily leave you standing if she decides to drop it.

I was wondering however if she tipped those Nordi Helldivers like she did here :
