After spending the day skiing much harder/faster than last week (with Faisasy at Loveland) I felt forces on my injured leg that very much clued me into what I most likely did to break it.
I'm pretty sure that I rushed the transition from a right turn to a left turn. I caught the outside edge of the new outside ski during the transition (was the inside ski of the right turn). My body was still going right from the speed and force of the right turn, but my skis started going left. It was just a classic outside edge catch at very high speed.
For me I believe I finally have the answer that I searched my brain for so many times over the past 2+ years. For anyone who followed the long thread after my accident I want to put an end to the speculation that the "new" more shaped skis caused my accident. I do believe that deeper sidecuts can play into this, but in the end it was still pilot error.
