POST COUNTS!

We need member post counts! While post counts alone hardly relate to the quality of any post's content, they are among the first things many people look for when they find a new forum.

How did we manage to overlook or eliminate this standard feature of Internet forums?

What do we need to do to get them back? I would consider this a high priority.

Best regards,

Bob

We have the feature, but it's temporarily disabled while we work out some minor performance issues.

Thanks--I'm glad to hear that it's just a temporary thing. I can live with that! I'm sure many people look forward to its return.

Best regards,

Bob

Yes, glad to hear it is only temporarily unavailable.

The same with post counts, I hope location on every post is also put back as well. I like to see where people are from and such.
The old feature with if they are an instructor and what hill was nice as well.

I'd like the poster's location also shown below post count as we had before.  Knowing where a member is from affects how we reply, especially in gear threads.  I know we can click on the user name and see the community profile, but that field was nice to see.

Yeah, I always thought location should be mandatory. It really shapes the discussion.

Well the new gear feature will be nice as well, but it still needs some work.

Location really does help, and ski hill. If you know the area, or the hill and what not, you can help suggest equipment based upon the standards of the hill. I would imagine that not all hills are highly groomed everyday. Knowing location would help that!

I agree, guys. I know that the request has been made to list each suggestion in a separate thread in this forum section, so it can be discussed and (hopefully) resolved). Thanks for your new thread asking that we check to see if the topic has already come up before posting a new thread, Talyn! But since I don't see this one on the list, I'm going to start a new thread for the "Location" request....

Best regards,

Bob

I'm trying to keep them in line bob!

I pretty much made a whole thread for myself.

I've offered my moderator services to those here on the sight as well.

Vote for me! =) hahaha

GJ bob, you need a beer for your hard work.

Is there anywhere that lists who the people that post the most are?

I believe we can do a database query to get that information, but we don't routinely run a report and list it anywhere currently.

At the bottom of the page is our About EpicSki link. That'll get you all that's fit to print about us.
