Well, I skied the 6 Star and the 7 24 Pro yesterday at Loveland. I must say that, given what you say here, I bet you would like the 6 Star (if you could find it!). I enjoyed it, felt it held the edges in fast carves well, and had a "race construction" feel.
I was surprised that I did not like the 7 24 Pro. It did not (for me! YMMV!) hold a steady edge at speed and didn't feel as crisp. This isn't how many of the reviews about it read, however, so...
In the process of this, I also learned from one of our own Level IIIs that I have a lot of work to do on my skiing. Ooo, boy!
