I have been working on my powder and off piste skiing and find myself in the back seat a lot. Yesterday while skiing moderately steep terrain in 11 inches of good powder when I hit bumps etc. underneath I found I was getting in the back seat a lot.
When I am skiing like this I oftentime feel the back of my boots and find it is almost impossible to get forward from this position without stopping and regrouping. However yesterday I experimented with 1) forward hand position-both hands thusly not dropping my inside hand / old habit and 2) when I got back etc. sucking in my core which really worked well bringing me upright more, out of the back seat and I didn't have to stop to do this.
Question. Opinions on this method of recentering while moving and any other suggestions?
