Well, almost. I actually went sliding on a plastic mat. We were practicing gliding wedges and wedge turns under the shaking heads and watchful eyes of our trainers. I probably should wait until after examinations and ratings but I am trying to get on to the same ski school as Pierre eh. I will apprentice for one season and exam for Level I as soon as possible.

However, if the rest of the on slope fall training goes like last Sunday I will be a bust. Can you imagine skiing on recycled Coke bottles with dish soap for a lubricant and using 200cm Atomic Arcs SL to ski wedges. : I would have never thought that performing a simple wedge could be made so difficult. : But I will not bail and will post the all the gory details. Hey, at least I did not wipe out on the plastic and put thousands of punture wounds in my body.

However, I think I was voted fastest skier on the plastic if that means anything. (the return of Fast1EV). I was consistently skiing off the end of the mat, which either means I am an Olympic hopeful or my wedge completely sucks!

Anyway, saw Pierre eh there and he gave me much grief. But do you know what? The most amazing thing happened, at the end of the day I had that post skiing cleared up head. I was calm, peaceful and satisfied. Man nothing like a few turns even on plastic.
