Now recently, I was talked into joining a buddy's team in a night racing league so I began researching current tuning techniques/ waxes and hence, this is how I found this great forum.
I've learned a lot from you guys, especially about how to clean structure out with various brushes. What I'm surprised to see (and don't understand) why it seems to be the normal practice to wax a ski 2 or 3 times at one session. I understand about hot scraping but why is it important to final wax more than once? It seems to me this practice may have been started by the waxing mfgs. Like on shampoo bottles where the directions say to shampoo, rinse and repeat. I.E, the more you use the product, the sooner you need to refill. My comments aren't meant to be flipent, I don't mean to stir anything up so please don't flame me. I've always found one top coat after hot scraping was sufficient. Please enlighten me.
