Hey everybody - I'm back!!
Wow - mzrzinwin - seriously - go skiing or smoke a joint or rub one out or something. If you can't stand seeing the opinions of others, why do you hang out here?
All I ever suggested was that the OP try something besides a 150 in whatever ski he tried. I never said he needed to be on a pair of 194 B-Squads or he was a gaper. What exactly does he have to loose by trying some different skis?
And if the only real priority here is getting a tobbogan down a steep icy slope, maybe he should try a pair of crampons too - I'd bet those would work really well.
As far as a patroller knowing how to ski better than most of the skiers on the hill he's working at - remember, we're talking about the Midwest here. I've seen patrollers on many midwestern hills (not Bohemia, of course) who were complete flailers. In the midwest really the only qualifications for being a patroller are that you are 1st aid/CPR certified and you can stand on a pair of skis. Remember that patroller wannabe who posted here last season and was whining about all the horrible physical strain the director at his hill was demanding of him? That's the reality for midwestern patrollers. I have a hard enough time taking the lot of them seriously even when they're not on ridiculously short snowlerblades. I'm not saying that's the OPer (like I said, there are some patrollers in the midwest who actually know how to ski), I'm just throwing that out there.
