Best Spring Skiing Glove??

Thread Starter
Looking for some input on any rave reviews of great spring skiing gloves. In my perfect world they would be lightweight, very breathable, waterproof and semi-warm with no gauntlet but secure wrist closure. Looking for something excelling in the 25F to 40F range of temps. with good dexterity. Any input is appreciated.

I really like the Salomon equipe pro glove - they're made for nordic skiing, but I really like em.

I also use my full-finger Troy Lee and Fox mountain biking gloves with some regularity, though water/snow goes right through them.

Right now I am sporting the Smart Wool leather spring glove. It's very nice and exactly what your looking for.

I also like nordic XC gloves. I've got a pair of Swix gloves. Think they ran me about $25.

Hey, I second the recommendation of the Smartwool Spring Glove. I just had the opportunity to try these out and was completely impressed.  I posted a review of them on my blog GearGuide with a few photos.

old stand by are the markers and if you are lucky enough to find a pair, hestra makes a fantastic spring glove.   I bought a pair of Scott spring gloves that claim to be waterproof, we;ll see. That's always my beef with Spring skiing, it temds to be wet and i hate gloves that get soggy.

He mentioned dexterity.

I really like the Marmot basic work glove. With the aforementioned snowseal and an oven treatment. They are light, warm durable, and dextrous as fuck.

the 90HK's are DAF.  These are not the stiff ones with the knit cuff and only $19.

These are, in fact, amazingly nice gloves.  The only problem is they're not really waterproof (unless they changed the design in the last year).  Fine for just skiing, but if it's raining/snowing your hands may get damp after a while.

I've been on the hunt for good spring gloves for a while now.  I bought a pair of Columbia's on STP that I liked so much, I ordered a 2nd pair.

Black Diamond Kingpin.  It is goat leather with a thin layer of insulation so it may be a bit toasty, but it is comfortable, small (no gauntlet), and relatively light for goat leather with good protection and grip.
