Anyone Skied their New Bro 183's Yet?

I was just wondering if anyone has skied their new Bro 183's? After all the fuss about delivery you would think people would be like caged animals, I know I am.. Won't ski mine for another 10 days however..

I made no fuss and allow others to pet them as they please but having mostly dust on crust or glazed snow everywhere after the inversion we were blessed with. I came up after noon and at 9:30 it was 35 at the top and 28 in the valleys. Plus or minus a couple degrees either way for the rest of the world. But that little difference makes for a nicely settled base but large potentials for later slides when it finally does pile up some more.
Corn in the dark . Pretty fun actually . I had fallen and picked up two hands full and it poured down like frozen corn into the pan. Pretty strange for January at closing time..

Now it's back to being nice and cold again. You can't make snowballs.

Our BIG SNOWSTORM OF O9 was canceled and was sent to our brothers elsewhere. I heard rumors of snow this week but until I get some dumpage I'll be skiing skinnys and will be continuing towards getting better acquainted with balancing on my edges Until then it would be more appropriate to visit with Pierre and discuss the path towards the love of the hardened bump.

Sdskier I'm anxiously awaiting the reviews as well....

Garry, I'm trying to figure out what your post means in regards to Bro 183's. Can ya yelp a girl out?

They await the new snow and look nice as a wall decoration for now. Not their intended use.

My bindings (PX 15's from sierra_canuck) should be arriving on Wednesday, so I'll be able to get out on them this weekend. Come to think of it, there is a BIG storm coming through here on Wednesday, so maybe I'll get them mounted quick and call in sick on Thursday... only time will tell. I'll be sure to get back with a full review/TR once I ski them though!

If you can sift through the 'stuff' over on TGR, 183 Bro's have been extensively reviewed.

Looks like Jaypowhound and DoWork are in the same boat you're in SDSkier.

I am betting they wish they were at the Boat, after seeing the huge dumps Finndog got before his trip to JH.

Bring on the Bear Reviews!

Seriously! I have had my bindings for months (Mojo 15s) and I had to wait for my new boots (Lange Freeride 130s) to come in- which they did yesterday but now I have to drive up to Ludlow, VT (about a 2 hour drive) to see Shon Racicot at The Boot Pro to get 'em fitted - the insteps have to be ground and my left toebox just doesn't jive with my freakish, finger-like second toe. Also, he is going to make me some custom footbeds for good measure. I'm trying to get up to see him this week so I can pick them back up next week on the way to Stratton for the now-infamous trip with my first-timer GF. I CAN'T WAIT TO GET ON THESE 183s! It irks me to no end that it's going to dump on wednesday (I've already gotten PMs from bears headed to the mountains) and it looks like I will be stuck here at work, slaving towards impossible deadlines, BROs unmounted. SHAME ON ME!! *sigh* if only I were independently wealthy and had no job, this could have all been done with by now

I promise, the moment I get these babies mounted with the bindings set for the new boots, I will have a full review AND a buncha pictures for all y'alls. Let's pray for pow next week so I'm not forced to rip 'em down polished zamboni ice. Believe me, as much as everyone else wants to know how good they are I WANT TO KNOW MORE!

My bindings are here, and I'm heading to Framingham to have Mike mount them tomorrow! Unfortunately tomorrow ISN'T one of those days when I can call in sick to go ski, so I'm going to have to wait until Friday to get out on all this new snow that's falling on the East Coast right now...

I'll be heading to Jay bright (well, dark) and early Friday morning if there's anyone else in the Boston area who'd like to join me.
