You know what really drives me nuts?
When the package is on time, has arrived at my local UPS warehouse on FRIDAY, and I know that my stuff is sitting there, just minutes away from my house all weekend!!!

That's when I drive there and pick it up.

FedEX is the worst when stuff isn't sent overnight or 2-day. I've had packages that arrived in Boston a day or two before they were supposed to, were sitting in the warehouse just 4 miles away, but FedEX held onto them anyway just because they weren't due yet. really frustrating.

Um, go pick them up? Takes about 10 minutes.

I live in CT. Looks like my new Mythic Riders are in Ohio.

No worries. I'm heading to VT at noon, right after my daughters basketball game. My Dynastar Speed Course Pro's will be fine on the Ascutny hardpack this weekend. However, I'm really looking forward to the new boards. I should get them on Tuesday so I will be praying for some fresh snow on Wednsday.

Getting back to the hating thread, I hate UPS, because of one driver, and have managed to get our corporate account worth about $70k anually moved to FedEx because of him.

-UPS site say - 6:15am, out for delivery.
-Wait all day
-6:15PM - driver arrives.

Question - is this route the last on your rounds?
Answer - Today it is.
Question - No, I mean it seems you come here last often, is that typical?
Answer - Today it is.
Repeat same answer to many various questions. - AAAARRRRGGGGG!

I move in about six months, and will take joy in telling UPS when I move that we no longer have an account with them because of Mr. XXX XXXX.

And yes, I have the same thing - tracking says it's arrived in warehouse down the street, but not scheduled for delivery until 3 days later means you wait. And NO, they don't let you pick it up early.

It always seems that whenever I pay for the better class of shipping something get's screwed up inadvertantly.

Whenever I order something and say "ahhh, I really don't need it right away" so I will take the Standard Shipping (usually involves a boat of some sort) the damn package shows up the next day.

I like when the driver doesn't feel like coming out to our location and just hits the "can't find address" button. One day we got two out of four tires, first two delivered ok, second pair coming around quitting time...suddenly the place is hard to find...

UPS is only ~10 miles away though, FedEx is 65. We use UPS at work because of how utterly inconvenient the location of the latter is.
