I tried some Stockli Laser SC's in 163cm(13.5m radius). They are absolutely awesome except for perhaps a bit turny for my tastes. They could do the medium and long arcs too, but I had to be very careful to hold back input to the skis otherwise they turned shorter, like it or not. I would like to try this ski in 170cm which is 15m radius. Very supple ski. I didn't get to try, but I think they could handle the bumps. 63mm under foot. Definitely not a soft snow ski, but very fun to ski on, instantly found them fun. Will try the 170cm model, it might be a better radius for me and the way I like to ski. My previous skis have all been 18m and larger. But I'm getting over back surgery and want something now that is a little bit easier to make those smaller radius turns than what I've been on.
Thinking about some other skiis since the stockli's are expensive. Fischer World Cup SC's and several different variety of Heads. The Supershape Speed, is 15m radius@170cm. Have heard so many good things about SS's. I need to try though, hard to find. There are several other Head models like the Magnum, the XRC1100 and the Chip, all of which are around 13.5m radius and 68-71mm underfoot...and all seem to have similar descriptions on the Head website.
Anyone have experiences on any of these or want to recommend something else, please do.
